About Me
Hello ~ My name is Abby (she/they)! I am an integrative bodyworker, multi-disciplinary artist, doula, herbalist, teacher, and student based in Philadelphia, PA. My current practice centers around the intersections of holistic wellness, creativity, and nature. Growing up with my older brother, who requires full-time care while living with a variety of disabilities, and having struggled with my health myself, I understand the value of quality, integrative healthcare.
My creative healing practices began as a child, as I thrived in various art, music, and theater extracurriculars. A family friend introduced me to yoga while I was in middle school, which quickly became a long-term love of mine. I even partnered with my art teacher to form a school yoga club! Over the years, I have let my passions guide me as I’ve worked in various wellness spaces, community gardens, and art studios. I pursued a custom-designed undergraduate degree in ‘Ethical Fashion and Healing Fibers’, taking classes on multi-media design, fabric fibers, gardening, art therapy, holistic self-care, environmental ethics, and social responsibility in business. My B.S. thesis included a zine where I reflected on my educational experiences thus far and a Celebration of Crafts community vendor event. I continued to explore these topics and more while living in Chicago, IL, for over two years post-graduation. There, I dove into multiple yoga teacher trainings, supported herbalism conferences, took my art practice more seriously, and shared my growing skillset through local adult and youth workshops. Since then, I have returned to Philadelphia, earned my Massage Therapy license, and have begun planting roots where I am. This blend of bodywork, crafts, and nature excites me, and I enjoy seeing where it takes me.
Today, I spend my days in the city with my lovely partner, two cuddly cats, friends, family, and a plethora of plants. My long list of beloved pastimes includes cooking, gardening, listening to audiobooks, dancing, biking, traveling, swimming, and creating stories with my tarot deck!
Check out my Portfolio, Blog, or Social Media for more about what I’m currently up to.
Healing Philosophy
Through my experiences, I have learned the powers of movement, rest, curiosity, and collaborative care. I believe we heal best with a team of solid allies. My mission is to walk alongside clients on their health journeys and share my tools and resources so that they may leave our sessions feeling lighter and more confident about the direction of their goals.
I have specialized training in massage, yoga, trauma-informed care, prenatal/postpartum care, meditation, and more. I am a lifelong student and continue to enroll in continuing education classes to support my client’s betterment. You can find my updated list of certifications and experiences below.
My practice strives to be inclusive as I prioritize getting to know you and ensuring you receive the quality support you need and deserve. I value a strong therapeutic alliance and believe in meeting clients where they are. If I am unable to fulfill your needs in any way, I am happy to direct you toward practitioners who may.
